A restaurant has belonged to the Forum for as long as the Forum has existed. Food was served on the ground floor of Köpenicker Straße 174 as early as the 19th century, then in the „Köpenicker Hof“. Later came the „Midgard“, one of the first vegetarian restaurants in the city, then the „Auerbach“, the „Muse“ with Anatolian cooking, and for many years Restaurant Richard, which made a name for the house far beyond the neighbourhood with its fine cuisine.
An era is changing right now: Hans Richard is handing over, and from September 2026 SISU opens here, founded by three Berlin restaurateurs with a concept of honest regional cooking and openness to influences from all over the world.
