Midwifery practice

Four midwives open their practice at Eisenbahnstraße 21 in August 2026: care, birth support and classes for the neighbourhood.

From August 2026 the Forum has a midwifery practice of its own. Julia Schekahn, Susanne Kreusler, Jule Limpf and Gesa Diering, four freelance midwives with many years of experience in Kreuzberg and Neukölln, are setting up their shared practice at Eisenbahnstraße 21.

What the practice offers

The four accompany families through pregnancy, birth and the weeks after: with antenatal and postnatal care, births outside hospital and attended births at the Vivantes Klinikum Am Urban. Added to that are antenatal and postnatal exercise classes. They want to accompany people attentively and reliably, from the first examination into the first months with a child.

More than a practice

What is planned is a place that grows beyond the classical midwifery offer: interdisciplinary, well connected and easy to approach for families that are expecting and growing. The practice fills a gap in the quarter and adds a piece of the beginning of life to a house in which all generations live.
