Design, furniture, shopfitting: the joinery of Jürgen Ruoff works where modern craft meets history. Alongside contemporary design and classic interior fitting, old and antique building elements play a particular part in shop and restaurant interiors.

The idea behind it: the contrast between the worn charm of things that have been used and are soaked in history, and the brilliant presence of modern materials, creates a tension of its own. From a rusted grille to bleached driftwood, anything can come to new life in a new context, cleanly finished and free of abrasion, of course.

The workshop is in the second back courtyard of Köpenicker Straße 175, next door to the rdb joinery. Jürgen Ruoff has been part of the Forum for decades; he also serves on the supervisory board of the co-operative and in the team of the Übereck-Art festival.
