Burghild Eichheim, born in Bad Urach in 1936, is one of the most experienced artists at the Forum. Her path begins in the fifties: foundation studies at the State Academy of Art in Stuttgart with a scholarship from the Studienstiftung, then free graphic art and painting at the Hochschule für Künste in Berlin, and in 1963 master student of Prof. Max Kaus. She has worked freelance since 1963 and in Berlin since 1974.
In between lie years in Spain and her part in building up the experimental holiday village La Selleta, later commissions from the Berlin arts funding, scholarships and projects such as the „Obdachlosenflure“ of the decentralised cultural work in Kreuzberg. She is a member of the Künstlersonderbund in Deutschland (contemporary realism), of the European Women’s Academy of Arts and Sciences and of the VBK Berlin.
Most recently she showed, among other things, the exhibition „Olympia 2020″ at the Taborkirche in Kreuzberg, a cycle on the five continents in the Olympic colours. Her studio is at Köpenicker Straße 172. In spring 2026 the Forum celebrated her 90th birthday with her.
