Living and working in the heart of Kreuzberg

Forum Kreuzberg is a co-operative in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Founded in 1972, we have spent more than 50 years showing that affordable housing, self-management and a living neighbourhood go together well. Six buildings, 88 flats and 36 spaces for trade, culture and craft.

The Vorratskammer is looking for members

Our self-organised organic shop on the ground floor of Köpenicker Straße 172 is open to everyone, including neighbours from outside the Forum. Around 1,500 products, access by token, payment on trust. We have no flats to offer at the moment, but here we are glad about every new name on the list.

A village in the city

Children grow up here whose parents were children here too. The courtyards connect flats with workshops, the theatre rehearses next to the kindergarten, and around the corner is the Vorratskammer, the small organic shop the house runs itself. The members organise around 70 per cent of the shared tasks themselves, in about 18 working groups.

Visiting the Forum

There are no flats available at the moment, but you can still get to know the Forum: on guided tours about architecture and co-operative living, at the festivals through the year or at the theatre. Groups from co-operatives, universities and public administration visit regularly.
